Humayun's Tomb

Humayun's Tomb is a magnificent example of Mughal architecture in India, built in the mid-16th century. It was commissioned by Humayun's first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum, and designed by Persian architects Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad. The tomb is set in a geometrically arranged garden, crisscrossed by water channels and pathways, symbolizing paradise in Islamic culture.
