Lothal
Lothal is one of the most prominent cities of the ancient Indus valley civilization, located in the Bhal region of Gujarat. Discovered in 1954, Lothal was excavated from 1955 to 1960 by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The site is known for its sophisticated town planning, maritime architecture, and the world's earliest known dock.
