Bijli Mahadev Temple
Perched at an altitude of about 2,460 meters above sea level, Bijli Mahadev Temple is one of the most revered temples in Himachal Pradesh, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is renowned for its 60 feet high staff that is believed to attract divine blessings in the form of lightning, which shatters the Shiva Linga inside the temple. The priests then restore the Shiva Linga using butter and sattoo, a ritual that has been followed for centuries.
