Dudhsagar Falls
Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 meters (100 feet). The waterfall is located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats. The falls are a spectacular sight during the monsoon season when they are in full flow, creating a smoky effect where the water meets the rocks below, resembling a sea of milk, hence the name 'Dudhsagar' which translates to 'Sea of Milk'.
