Vadakkunnathan Temple
Vadakkunnathan Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Thrissur, Kerala. It is one of the oldest temples in the state and is a classic example of the Kerala style of architecture. The temple is surrounded by a massive stone wall enclosing a large area with four gopurams (gateway towers) facing the four cardinal directions. The temple is known for its historical significance, architectural beauty, and the annual Thrissur Pooram festival, which is one of the most famous temple festivals in Kerala.
