Sangai Wildlife Sanctuary
Sangai Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the northeastern state of Manipur, India, is a haven for the endangered Sangai deer, also known as the brow-antlered deer. This sanctuary is part of the larger Keibul Lamjao National Park, the only floating park in the world, situated on the Loktak Lake. The sanctuary offers a unique ecosystem with floating phumdis (heterogeneous mass of vegetation, soil, and organic matter at various stages of decomposition) that provide a natural habitat for the Sangai deer and other wildlife species.
