Bijli Mahadev Temple
Bijli Mahadev Temple is a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Kullu district of Uttarakhand. Perched at an altitude of about 2,460 meters, the temple is famous for its 60 feet high staff that is believed to attract lightning, which shatters the Shivlinga inside the temple. The priests then restore the Shivlinga with butter and sattoo, a ritual that has been followed for centuries.
